Business Expansion & Relocation

When a business expands at an existing location, relocates, or opens a new facility, there are usually substantial government incentives available.

When a business expands at an existing location, relocates, or opens a new facility, there are usually substantial government incentives available.

The overarching goal of these state and local incentives is to encourage one or more of the following actives:

  • Job creation

  • Capital investment

  • Training of employees

  • Energy efficient investments

  • Research and development

The states and cities will award companies by providing cash, tax credits, grants, payroll tax relief or other financial benefits to offset costs of expanding your business and reduce overall operating costs.

Services Model

If your business is growing, EIAG will find programs that are available for expanding businesses.

  • EIAG will then apply for the benefits.

  • Manage the reporting to remain in compliance with the incentive programs.

  • The client then receives the financial benefits.

Creating a Competitive Environment for your Expansion

Ideally, EIAG participates in the preliminary stages of the expansion planning process. Request for Proposals (RFPs) are sent to “locations” under consideration, including an existing site – if staying in place is a possibility. This allows us to create a competitive environment amongst the localities under consideration.

*Relocation is not a requirement to qualify for expansion incentives.

Regularly, states and cities will offer “specialized” or discretionary” incentives to land an expansion. Especially, for higher payment jobs. However, these discretionary incentives cannot be realized unless going through this proposal process.

  • EIAG has often secured between $5 million and upwards of $25 million by negotiating for incentives on behalf of clients that are expanding their operations.
